Left-Handed surgeons get their own training: does it help?
NCT ID NCT07533214
First seen May 12, 2026 ยท Last updated May 12, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether left-handed heart surgeons learn suturing skills faster when taught by left-handed instructors instead of right-handed ones. About 30 left-handed surgeons and residents at a medical conference will be randomly assigned to either a left-handed or right-handed guided training session. Researchers will measure how quickly and accurately they place stitches before and after training to see which group improves more.
