First seen Mar 28, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study looks at whether resistance exercise and/or extra protein can help people with obesity keep their muscle and improve physical function while taking semaglutide or tirzepatide for weight loss. About 232 adults will be randomly assigned to one of four groups: control, extra protein, exercise, or both exercise and protein. The main goal is to see if these add-ons preserve muscle size and strength over 6 months.
