First seen Apr 13, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This early-stage study tests whether LCFA-01, a natural gel containing oleic acid, is safe and comfortable when placed in the vagina. Thirty healthy women aged 18-40 will use the gel and be monitored for side effects, discomfort, and how much of the product enters the bloodstream. The goal is to see if this product can later be developed as a treatment for bacterial vaginosis.
