New pacemaker technique may cut hidden heart rhythm problems

NCT ID NCT07250529

First seen Dec 11, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests if a newer pacemaker method (left bundle branch pacing) can reduce the time spent in fast heart rate episodes compared to standard pacing. About 244 adults who need a pacemaker for heart block and have normal heart function will be randomly assigned to one of the two methods. The goal is to see if the newer approach lowers the risk of developing atrial fibrillation.
