Pre-Surgery laxative tested to ease Post-Op bowel woes
NCT ID NCT06159777
Summary
This study tested whether starting a laxative before pelvic organ prolapse surgery helps reduce discomfort with bowel movements after the operation. Researchers compared women who took the laxative both before and after surgery to those who only took it afterward. The goal was to see if the earlier start made recovery more comfortable for patients who don't normally have constipation.
