Lavender pill trial offers new hope for PTSD sufferers
NCT ID NCT06412757
Summary
This study is testing if a capsule made from lavender oil, called Silexan, can help reduce symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). It will involve 278 adults with PTSD who will take either the Silexan capsules or a placebo (dummy pill) daily for 12 weeks, in addition to their usual treatments. The goal is to see if this natural, over-the-counter product can provide a new, well-tolerated option for managing this difficult condition.
