Calming scent in the chaos: lavender tested for ER anxiety

NCT ID NCT06769503

Summary

This study tested whether smelling lavender oil could help reduce anxiety in people waiting with a loved one in the emergency room. Researchers compared anxiety levels in 120 participants who either smelled lavender oil for a few minutes or received no special intervention. The goal was to see if this simple, natural approach could ease the stress of a hospital emergency visit.
