Calming scent tested to ease nerves before needle procedures
NCT ID NCT05660486
Summary
This study tested whether smelling lavender essential oil could reduce anxiety in adults about to receive ultrasound-guided injections for joint or tendon issues. Researchers compared anxiety levels in 48 participants who received lavender aromatherapy versus those who did not. The goal was to see if this simple, natural approach could help patients feel calmer before their procedure.
