New lattice radiation aims to crush tumor pain in phase 3 trial

Summary

This study compares a newer type of radiation, called lattice therapy, to standard radiation for shrinking pain from large tumors (at least 5 cm). About 148 adults with solid tumors that cannot be surgically removed will take part. The main goal is to see if lattice therapy provides better pain relief 30 days after treatment.
