First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study will test 200 adults on regular hemodialysis at Sohag University Hospital for latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) using a simple skin test. Latent TB is a dormant form of the disease that can become active, especially in people with weakened immune systems like dialysis patients. By finding out how many patients carry the infection, doctors hope to improve early detection and prevention strategies.
