Laser beats stretching for chronic neck pain, study finds

NCT ID NCT07566637

First seen May 09, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026

Summary

This study tested two treatments for long-term neck pain that isn't caused by a specific injury. 75 adults with chronic neck pain were split into three groups: one got low-intensity laser therapy plus standard physical therapy, another got stretching and strengthening exercises plus standard therapy, and the third got only standard therapy. The goal was to see which approach reduced pain and disability the most. The results help doctors choose the best non-drug option for neck pain relief.
