Laser zaps root canal germs in new dental study
NCT ID NCT05959629
Summary
This study tested if adding a special laser to the standard cleaning process during a root canal could kill more bacteria and lead to better long-term results. 56 adults needing a routine root canal were randomly assigned to receive either the standard cleaning solution or the standard solution plus the laser treatment. Researchers measured bacteria levels, pain after the procedure, and tooth health over two years to see if the laser made a difference.
