First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study compares two ways to clean infected root canals during a single dental visit: laser-activated irrigation versus sonic-activated irrigation. Sixty adults with chronic tooth infections needing revision will be randomly assigned to one method. Researchers will measure pain over seven days, bacteria removal, and healing of the jawbone infection one year later using 3D scans.
