Could a laser make gum disease treatment less painful?

NCT ID NCT07487285

Summary

This study aims to see if cleaning gums with a laser is as good as the traditional manual method for treating periodontitis (gum disease). Researchers will compare the two methods in 174 adults with moderate to severe gum disease, focusing on how well they work and which one is more comfortable for patients. The goal is to find a treatment that is effective but causes less pain and discomfort.
