Eye surgeons test which scraping method heals better: laser or alcohol?
NCT ID NCT05072977
Summary
This study compared two ways to remove the thin surface layer of the eye before laser vision correction surgery. Researchers wanted to see if using the laser itself caused less corneal haze (cloudiness), less pain, and better vision results than the traditional method using an alcohol solution. The trial involved 71 people with nearsightedness or astigmatism, with each participant having one eye treated with each method.
