Summary
This study aimed to understand why laser treatment helps reduce pain and itch in raised burn scars. Researchers planned to examine tiny skin samples from people undergoing standard laser therapy to see how nerves in the scar tissue change. The goal was to link these physical changes to patients' reports of symptom relief, but the study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
