Laser showdown: does light therapy tweak nerves in healthy people?

NCT ID NCT07260994

First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study looks at how two types of laser therapy (high-intensity and low-level) affect nerve function in healthy adults aged 18-30. Participants will be randomly placed into one of three groups: high-level laser, low-level laser, or a sham (placebo) group. Over 3 weeks, they will attend 9 short sessions where nerve activity is measured before and after laser application to the neck. The goal is purely to understand the short-term effects on nerve root function, not to treat any disease.
