Laser light may soothe Post-Birth pain and speed healing
NCT ID NCT07480083
First seen Mar 23, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tests whether low-level laser therapy can reduce perineal pain and improve wound healing in women who had a vaginal birth with tearing. About 206 new mothers will receive either real laser treatment or a fake (sham) treatment shortly after delivery. Researchers will measure pain levels and healing quality over the first 48 hours to see if the laser offers real benefits.
