Zapping scars: can early laser treatment make surgery marks fade faster?

NCT ID NCT07359352

Summary

This study is testing whether using laser and light therapy soon after major body contouring surgery can lead to better-looking scars. About 150 adults having procedures like tummy tucks or thigh lifts will be assigned to receive either the laser treatments or standard post-surgery care. Researchers will compare how satisfied patients are with their scars and the scars' appearance over six months to see if the early laser therapy makes a meaningful difference.
