First seen Jan 19, 2026 · Last updated Jun 05, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This small study tested whether a special laser treatment can help veterans with leg amputations who have painful scars that make wearing their artificial limb hard. Ten veterans received the laser therapy, and researchers measured changes in pain, scar appearance, walking ability, and quality of life. The goal is to find a long-lasting solution so veterans can use their prosthetics more comfortably and stay active.
