Doctors map the aftermath of prostate laser surgery
NCT ID NCT01732991
Summary
This study aimed to better understand what happens to prostate tissue after a specific laser treatment for an enlarged prostate (BPH). Researchers used MRI and contrast-enhanced ultrasound scans to measure and track the area of tissue damage created by the laser in 12 men over one year. The goal was to gather detailed information about the healing process and see if it related to common urinary side effects after surgery.
