First seen Feb 20, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a special laser that heats the knee (CO2 infrared laser moxibustion) to standard exercise therapy can reduce pain and improve knee function better than exercise alone. About 68 adults aged 55-65 with knee osteoarthritis will receive either exercise only or exercise plus 24 laser sessions over 8 weeks. Researchers will measure pain, movement, and cartilage changes at 3 and 6 months.
