Shining a light on sleep apnea: can a laser device ease nighttime breathing?
NCT ID NCT06949969
Summary
This study tested whether a special low-level laser light device could help treat obstructive sleep apnea. Adult participants with sleep apnea received six brief, non-invasive light treatments over three weeks. Researchers compared their sleep breathing scores before and after treatment to see if the device reduced the number of breathing pauses.
