Laser test aims to stop painful skin infection from returning

NCT ID NCT06406621

Summary

This study is testing if laser hair removal helps prevent a painful skin infection called pilonidal disease from coming back in teens and young adults with darker skin. Researchers will compare laser treatment plus standard hair removal to standard hair removal alone. The goal is to see if the laser reduces the need for repeat antibiotics and surgeries over one year.
