Dental laser fails to show benefit for tooth infections
NCT ID NCT07243353
Summary
This study tested whether using a special laser during a root canal could help reduce harmful inflammation in teeth with a chronic root infection. Researchers compared 58 patients who received the laser treatment to those who did not. The results showed the laser treatment was not better than standard care at reducing the measured markers of inflammation and tissue damage.
