First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tested whether low-level laser therapy (LLLT) can reduce pain, speed up tooth movement, and improve gum health during the early phase of braces treatment. 108 adults aged 18-30 received either LLLT on their front teeth or no laser at each visit over 6 months. Researchers measured pain, gum inflammation, and tooth movement to see if the laser helped.
