Laser therapy aims to smooth dangerous eye pressure swings

NCT ID NCT07428668

Summary

This study is testing whether a laser procedure called Direct Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty (DSLT) can reduce daily fluctuations in eye pressure for people with open-angle glaucoma who are already using 1-3 eye drop medications. Researchers will follow 40 participants for 6 months, measuring their eye pressure at different times of day before and after the laser treatment. The main goal is to see if the laser helps create more stable, predictable eye pressure throughout the day, which could help protect vision.
