Laser helps antibiotic gel penetrate skin in wound healing study

NCT ID NCT05411484

Summary

This study is testing whether using a laser to create tiny openings in the skin helps an antibiotic gel penetrate deeper to improve wound healing. Healthy volunteers receive laser treatment followed by application of the antibiotic gel, with skin biopsies taken to measure how deep the drug goes. The goal is to understand if this combination approach helps wounds heal better than laser treatment alone.
