First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study compared two types of lasers used during surgery to break up kidney stones. About 178 adults with kidney stones were treated with either a holmium laser with Moses technology or a thulium fiber laser. The main goal was to see which laser cleared more stones, as shown on a CT scan two months after surgery.
