First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tested a combination of two lasers (KTP and Nd:YAG) to treat persistent facial redness in 15 adults with rosacea. Each person received three treatments, three weeks apart. The goal was to see if the lasers could safely reduce redness and improve quality of life.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

532 nm KTP laser and microsecond 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser

What this could lead to

If successful, this laser combination could provide a safe, non-drug option to reduce persistent facial redness in rosacea patients.

What could go wrong

This was a very small study (15 people) with no comparison group, so results may not apply to everyone. Long-term safety and effectiveness are not yet known.
