Laser brain surgery trial offers new hope for epilepsy patients
NCT ID NCT06720922
Summary
This study is testing whether a less invasive laser brain surgery works as well as traditional open surgery for people with drug-resistant temporal lobe epilepsy. Researchers will compare seizure control, side effects, and quality of life between the two approaches in 120 participants. The goal is to determine if the laser procedure provides similar benefits with potentially fewer risks and shorter recovery.
