Summary
This study tested if using a special laser before applying numbing gel (lidocaine) can reduce pain during dental procedures. Twenty adults were split into three groups: laser plus numbing gel, fake laser plus numbing gel, or fake laser plus plain Vaseline. Researchers measured pain scores and heart rate when a tiny needle touched the gums.
