NCT ID NCT07169032

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tested whether using a special laser before applying numbing gel can reduce pain during dental procedures. Twenty adults were split into three groups: laser plus numbing gel, fake laser plus numbing gel, or fake laser plus plain jelly. Researchers measured pain levels and heart rate when a tiny needle touched the gums. The goal was to see if the laser helps the numbing gel work better and longer.
