Zapping thyroid cancer with a laser: a less invasive option?

NCT ID NCT04623801

Summary

This study is testing if a laser procedure can safely treat very small thyroid cancers as an alternative to surgery. It will involve 10 patients who have a tiny papillary thyroid cancer but do not want to just watch and wait. Doctors will use a needle to guide a laser to heat and destroy the tumor, then check the results six months later.
