First seen Jan 26, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looks back at 1,200 patients who had a breathing tube placed during surgery to see how many developed voice box injuries like hoarseness or sore throat. Researchers will review medical records and follow up by phone to find out what factors increase the risk and how long symptoms last. The goal is to help doctors reduce these complications in the future.
