NCT ID NCT05881733
First seen Dec 24, 2025 · Last updated Mar 25, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study aimed to measure how much heart tissue a new, larger freezing balloon catheter could treat during a standard procedure for atrial fibrillation (AFib). Researchers used detailed 3D heart maps before and after the procedure in 20 patients with intermittent AFib to measure the area affected by the larger balloon. The goal was to gather data to see if the bigger balloon creates a more effective treatment zone.
