Summary

This study aims to find out how common lactose intolerance is among adults with a specific type of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) that causes chronic diarrhea. Researchers will test 70 patients using a genetic (PCR) test and a symptom questionnaire. The goal is to understand if lactose intolerance is linked to their IBS symptoms and to see if age or gender plays a role.
