NCT ID NCT07546591

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether taking lactoferrin (a protein found in milk) along with a small amount of iron can improve iron levels and exercise performance in active women who have low iron stores. About 30 women aged 18-45 who exercise at least 5 hours a week will take one of three daily supplements for 8 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in iron levels, oxygen use, and how long they can exercise.
