First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study is for people with neurogenic bladder (a bladder that doesn't work normally due to nerve damage) who use a permanent catheter. Researchers want to see if putting a probiotic called Lactobacillus directly into the bladder can reduce urinary symptoms and improve quality of life. The study will also look at changes in urine bacteria and inflammation. About 182 adults will take part to find the best dose for a future larger trial.
