Exercise molecule tested alone for appetite and sugar control
NCT ID NCT06743009
First seen Apr 03, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study looked at a substance called Lac-Phe, which the body makes during exercise, to see if it can reduce appetite and lower blood sugar on its own. Twenty-three healthy overweight adults received Lac-Phe or a salt solution on separate days, then ate a meal and answered questions about hunger. The goal was to understand how exercise helps metabolism, not to treat a disease.
