Summary
This study tested whether a nutritional supplement called L-Arginine is safe and can help control a serious heart complication in children with sickle cell disease. It involved 50 children, aged 5 to 18, who already had signs of this heart issue. Researchers gave them L-Arginine for three months to see if it improved key heart and blood measurements.
