New knee brace aims to ease pain after ACL surgery

NCT ID NCT07090616

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study compares a new knee brace called KRONOS to the standard Breg T-Scope brace after ACL reconstruction surgery. Researchers want to see if the KRONOS brace reduces pain and helps people recover knee motion faster. About 40 adults having ACL surgery will be randomly assigned to one of the two braces.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

knee brace (device)

What this could lead to

If it works, this could point toward a more comfortable and effective brace for ACL recovery, reducing pain and improving knee motion.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early-stage trial with only 40 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The new brace may not be significantly better than the standard one.
