New injection tested to boost radiation against cervical cancer

NCT ID NCT05570422

Summary

This early-stage study is testing whether a new drug called KRC-01, injected directly into the tumor, can make radiation therapy more effective against locally advanced cervical cancer. The trial will first check the safety of different dosing schedules in 10 patients, then compare the combination treatment to standard radiation therapy in 60 more patients. The main goals are to see if the treatment is safe and if it helps control the cancer better than radiation alone.
