New injection aims to curb blood loss in common knee surgery

Summary

This study is testing whether a new drug called BT-114143 can safely reduce blood loss during and after knee replacement surgery. It will compare two different doses of the new drug against a standard medication (tranexamic acid) in 270 adults having the surgery. The main goal is to see if the new drug leads to less total blood loss, which could help patients recover better.
