Nerve-Zapping technique tested to ease pain after knee replacement

NCT ID NCT07381062

Summary

This study tested whether adding a nerve treatment during knee replacement surgery helps patients recover with less pain and better function. It compared standard knee replacement surgery to the same surgery plus a procedure that uses heat to temporarily disable pain nerves around the knee. The goal was to see if this combined approach improved pain and knee function after surgery for people with severe arthritis.
