New scan technique aims to perfect knee replacements

NCT ID NCT07465484

Summary

This study aims to improve knee replacement surgery for people with severe arthritis and a bow-legged alignment. Researchers will use special standing and lying-down CT scans to compare a patient's bad knee to their good one. The goal is to create better guidelines for surgeons on how much to correct the bow-legged angle during surgery to get the best long-term results.
