Can a new knee implant make you forget you had surgery?

NCT ID NCT02501733

Summary

This study followed people who received a specific type of knee replacement (the Medacta GMK Sphere®) to see how well it worked over time. Researchers tracked 70 patients for up to 5 years after surgery to measure how 'forgettable' the artificial knee felt during everyday life. The main goal was to see if patients' ability to ignore their knee joint improved from before surgery to years 2 and 5 after the procedure.
