First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study will test two different nerve block techniques to manage pain after total knee replacement. One method uses a low-dose anesthetic on three major nerves, while the other uses a higher dose on two smaller nerves. The goal is to see which approach reduces the need for morphine and helps patients regain leg strength faster. About 120 adults scheduled for knee replacement will take part.
