Summary

This study tested if adding a nerve treatment during knee replacement surgery helps patients recover with less pain and better function. It compared standard knee replacement surgery to surgery that also included a procedure to block pain signals from knee nerves. The study involved 70 patients aged 50-80 with severe knee arthritis.
