Knee replacement pain study: is a continuous nerve block better than a single shot?

NCT ID NCT07581886

First seen May 13, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at two methods of pain relief after total knee replacement: a single injection of numbing medicine versus a continuous drip through a small tube. Researchers will check if the continuous method provides better pain control over 48 hours and improves recovery after 12 weeks. About 78 adults aged 40-80 will take part.
